Prifysgol Cymru University of Wales

University

Founded by Royal Charter in 1893, the University of Wales is the degree-awarding body for the majority of higher education students in Wales, as well as for many at other higher education institutions in the United Kingdom and overseas.

The University’s position enables it to focus not only on its primary functions as a degree-awarding body and provider of services to the Welsh higher education sector but also, as a national institution, on playing an enhanced role in protecting and promoting the economy, culture and language of Wales.

The University is also the degree-awarding authority for more than 120 other higher education institutions both within the United Kingdom and overseas, with which it also enjoys close links. Annually, it awards around 15,000 initial degrees and more than 4,000 higher degrees, making it the second largest degree-awarding body in the United Kingdom. The number of students, from all over the world, pursuing University of Wales degrees is around 70,000, and their studies cover a wide range of subjects.

Holborn College offers several programmes that are validated and awarded by the University of Wales, UK. For further details regarding the University and its validation services, please log on to www.wales.ac.uk/validation or email validation@wales.ac.uk

Liverpool John Moores University

Liverpool John Moores University was originally founded in 1825, and has grown to be a large and well respected institution. It is world-renowned for its commitment to providing innovative and exciting courses based on student and employer needs, and it has developed its radical programmes in collaboration with leading companies like Ford, IBM, Lucas Industries and Jaguar.

We are pleased to offer the stimulating LLM in International Business and Commercial Law in partnership with the university. This programme places particular emphasis on the acquisition of vocationally-relevant knowledge and skills, and has been approved by both the Bar Council and Law Society as appropriate for practising barristers and solicitors.

University OF London

University Of LondonThe University of London is one of the leading universities in Europe. It is a world-class federation of 19 self-governing Colleges and a number of smaller specialist Institutes which provide an unrivalled range of educational opportunities.

The University of London set up the External System in 1858 to offer its degrees by distance and flexible learning, so that those who are not able to study in London on campus are able to gain a University of London degree. Today, there are 45,000 students worldwide studying on 100+ degrees, diplomas and certificates.

A University of London degree awarded to a student who studied through the External System is of the same standard as a University of London degree awarded tostudents who study on a University of London campus. Although the External student’s study experience is different, the University makes no distinction in the standard of the award External students gain. External students are examined to the same standard as students enrolled at a College of the University.
