Introduction

These programmes are designed for students who need a preparatory course before embarking onto the planned academic course. It is normally suited for students who marginally failed to gain entry onto an academic course due to their lack of academic entrance requirements or English language abilities.

Please be aware that these preparatory programmes are not available as stand-alone programmes, which means that students cannot apply directly for them. In most cases students will be advised to join a preparatory programme, upon a failed application for the academic course.

English Language and Skills

Holborn College is committed to raising students' understanding and familiarity with the English Language. As such it plays a vital part in the students' learning experience.

Students can join the English for Academic Purposes course at any time during the year - the length of the course will depend on their ability. Students are tested at each level of study in order to assess their progress.
