These are very popular and an ideal way of meeting people
as students from many different colleges and universities stay in them. Hostels
in the centre of London
tend to be the most expensive and shared rooms are usually all that is
available. Some hostels in central London
provide meals. Places in hostels are limited. Rooms are often available only
for the September intake, although it is still worth applying for other times
of the year. You must apply well in advance. For a place in September you
should apply by March – July.
The nearest hostel for Holborn students is McMillan Student Village
McMillan Student Village is a very modern hostel
which was built
only recently. It provides single study bedrooms with bathroom and
cooking
facilities within the room. The hostel is a ten minute walk from the
centre of Greenwich which is a lively area near the Thames estuary
with restaurants, bars, museums and Greenwich
Park. It is 3.5 miles
from the College. Please click on this link for more details: http://www.accommodationforstudents.com/

To apply to a hostel you will need to contact the place
directly to obtain an application form (or apply on-line), then return the
application along with the appropriate deposit. Unfortunately deposits cannot
be returned if you later decide you do not want the place. Please note that a
room cannot be booked until it is paid for. Most hostels will not allow
short-term stays, so please bear this in mind when making your choice. |
