BA (Hons) Top-Up International Business Management
Aim
“This programme is for you if you have achieved the equivalent of two years’ study in higher education and want to ‘top up’ your existing qualification to an international business management honours degree.
It is a two semester programme consisting of eight modules. In the second semester you can develop your individual interests by choosing part of your programme from a range of options. Assessment is through a mixture of coursework and examinations, designed to help build critical career skills and allow you to adjust to British learning styles. An additional intensive personal development package is provided to ensure that you excel in your modules and are fully prepared to enter the job market or further study.”

Programme Outline
All students are expected to study five compulsory modules in the first semester. This is followed by two compulsory modules and two elective modules in the second semester.
Semester One:
- International Business Economics
- International Business Management
- International Human Resources
- International Marketing
- Academic Skills and Professional Development*
* This module is not credit-bearing but is compulsory
Semester Two:
- International Financial Management
- Strategic Management
Plus two of the following elective modules:
- Company Law
- Destination Marketing
- Financial Accounting 3
- HRM and Quality
- Management Accounting 3
- Managing Human Resources 2
- Marketing Communications
- Marketing Management
- Quantitative Applications
- Small Business Management
Note Your choice of elective modules will be made in consultation with the Programme Leader, taking into account your existing knowledge.
