German Students

Our experienced Admissions and Recruitment team will be happy to give you advice on the suitability of your qualifications for your chosen programme of study.

Qualifications listed under each heading may satisfy the awarding body's entry requirements to that level of study. This is not a guarantee of an offer of a place, which is at the discretion of Kaplan Holborn College and the awarding university for your chosen degree.

All students must also have a recognised English language qualification. Please see our section on English Language for further guidance.

• Entry onto foundation programmes & diplomas

  Students require an English Language level equivalent to:

  • IELTS 5.0 for the International Foundation Programme in Business Management, Mathematics and Economics
  • IELTS 5.5 for the Foundation Programme in Business Management, Mathematics and Economics
  • IELTS 6.0 for the Diploma in Law

  Students require one of the following academic qualifications:

  • A score of 3.5 in the Arbitur
  • European Baccalaureate - 60%
  • International Baccalaureate - Students who have finished the International Baccalaureate by only achieving the Certificate rather than the Diploma are eligible

• Entry onto 4 year degrees inc foundation year

  Students require an English Language level equivalent to IELTS 5.5 and one of the following academic qualifications:

  • A score of 3.5 in the Arbitur
  • European Baccalaureate – 60%
  • International Baccalaureate - Students who have finished the International Baccalaureate by only achieving the Certificate rather than the Diploma are eligible for foundation year entry

• Entry onto 3 year undergraduate degrees

  Students require an English Language level equivalent to IELTS 6.0 and one of the following academic qualifications:

  • A score of 2.9 in the Arbitur
  • European Baccalaureate – 62%
  • International Baccalaureate – 24

• Entry onto 2 year undergraduate degrees

  Students require an English Language level equivalent to:

  • IELTS 6.0 with 5.5 in each component or
  • TOEFL IBT score of 80 - with at least 17 in listening, 18 in reading, 20 in speaking and 17 in writing

  Students must have an overall score of 1.9 in the Arbitur.

• Entry onto postgraduate (Masters) degrees

  Students must achieve a minimum of 3.9 - Befriedigend – Satisfactory in order to be considered for entry to postgraduate programmes at Kaplan Holborn College. Students must also have the equivalent of IELTS 6.5.

  Our scholarships and bursaries are reviewed on a continual basis. Please contact our admissions team to find out more about scholarship opportunities that you may be entitled to.

  Kaplan Holborn College does not currently work with any representatives in Germany. You should contact your Kaplan Holborn College recruitment officer for advice and support with your application.

However we also acknowledge that many EU students do not have the support networks in place to successfully complete a UCAS application.
